What started as a protest ride to encourage the City Council to consider bicycles as part of their town planning and raise awareness around cyclists, is now one of the world’s leading cycle events. The cycling community in South Africa has grown exponentially over the years, as a result of the Cape Town Cycle Tour. The cycle tour will start at the Grand Parade precinct in the Cape Town Central Business District. Most travelers coming to Cape Town to watch the race or compete in it, book a vehicle with car hire Cape Town to accommodate their stay in the Mother City.
