The bare minimum to add your story to Road Trip Explorer:
- Your route or day-by-day itinerary
- Photos and/or videos if you have some
- Highlights from your trip
- A write-up of your trip (as long or short as you’d like it to be)
- Some basic information about yourself
NOTE: We will accept all road trips, provided they happened on the African continent.
Already published your story somewhere on the web?
No problem.
You can simply send us the link and we’ll use your original story to create a trip on the platform, so that it’s searchable and accessible to travellers from around the world.
We will clearly showcase you as the contributor. Also link to your original story, social profiles and website.

We are thrilled to announce the winners of the Road Trip Explorer Live Competition!
Participants from all over the African continent submitted their extraordinary road trip stories, and after a captivating live announcement on YouTube, we are excited to celebrate the winners and their incredible adventures.
A Celebration of African Road Trips
Participants submitted their detailed road trip stories, complete with itineraries, photos, videos, and personal highlights.

The entries showcased the diverse and stunning landscapes of Africa, from the deserts of Namibia to the lush landscapes of Kenya, highlighting the continent’s rich cultures, vibrant communities, and the joy of exploration.

On 29 September 2023, at 1 pm, we went live on YouTube to showcase the submitted road trips on a carousel.

For 30 minutes, viewers from around the world joined us in celebrating the adventurous journeys across Africa, eagerly awaiting the announcement of the winners.
