| Day 2 | Drive to Letlhakane for a quick fuel stop, then overnight at Kubu Island in the Makgadikgadi Pans area. | 164 | Kubu Island |

| Day 4-5 | Drive to the northwest side of the Okavango Delta for a two-night stopover. Spend half a day on a mokoro trip or fishing for tigerfish. | 363 | Nguma Island Lodge |
