Damaraland is een van Namibia’s meest schilderachtige gebieden, gezegend met adembenemende woestijnen, torenhoge bergen en een prachtige sterrenhemel. Vele reizigers komen hierheen om de ruige bergen te zien, de wilde dieren te spotten. De naam is afkomstig van het volk dat daar leeft, de ‘Damara’.
Ook vind je hier de twee hoogste bergen in Namibië, de Spitzkoppe en de Brandberg. Verder vind je er ook rotstekeningen van de bosjesmannen.
