Visitors from Europe do not require vaccinations, but those arriving from Yellow Fever zones in Africa or the Americas may be asked for proof of vaccination on arrival. Yellow Fever regulations change regularly so check the current situation before you travel.
Other precautionary vaccinations are optional. Consult your doctor regarding Typhoid, Hepatitis A and B, and Tetanus in particular. Malaria prophylaxis may also be required depending on where you travel. It’s not necessary for any of the major cities, or anywhere in the centre, south or west of the country. The highest risk is along the Mozambique and Zimbabwe borders – this includes Kruger National Park.
