Botswana rewards travellers who value independence, and the 2026 Toyota Hilux Double Cab Auto 4x4 Hardshell Camper puts the country’s wild landscapes within reach. Collected in Maun or Kasane, it accommodates four people and combines comfortable touring with a self-contained campsite that travels with you.
At each overnight stop, two hard-shell rooftop tents become sleeping quarters for the group. A 270-degree awning extends the living area around the vehicle, providing useful shelter for relaxing and preparing meals. Bedding, a fridge, gas cooker, kitchen equipment, camping furniture and water storage are supplied, while the integrated two-drawer system helps keep provisions and personal belongings neatly arranged.
Between destinations, four passengers travel in an air-conditioned double cab with an automatic diesel engine. Solar-assisted auxiliary power supports the camping equipment during stays at remote or unpowered campsites, which is useful in Botswana’s many unfenced wilderness areas.
Follow your chosen route into the Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve, Savuti, Chobe National Park, the Makgadikgadi and Nxai Pans or the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. Approved cross-border itineraries into Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and other permitted destinations can also be arranged. Supplier authorisation, the required vehicle documentation and applicable cross-border fees must be organised before collection.
