Meet Randy Prins - Drive South Africa’s Car Rental Consultant

When it comes to providing our travelers with a friendly car rental service, Randy does this in her sleep. In fact, rumor has it that her first words were ‘how may I help you?’ (We’re still trying to confirm the validity of this claim).

We spoke to Randy to find out more about the friendly voice behind the phone.

How long have you been with the company?

In October this year, it will be two years.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Listening to music- it relaxes me. I love listening to R&B, Hip Hop and house. My favorite artists are Beyoncé, Fifth Harmony, Black Coffee, Alicia Keys and Simply Red.

Do you have any nicknames?

Randall. Take a guess why.

What’s your favorite movie?

Dirty Grandpa, The ugly truth. I love good comedies.

If you could invite three people over for dinner, who would it be?

Beyonce, Jimmy Nevis, and Emma Stone. I think it would be an evening filled with music, new dance moves, and laughter.

The luxurious beaches of Thailand is at the top of Randy’s travel list.

Which three destinations would you like to visit?

Thailand, Dubai and Greece. Any fun-filled beautiful place near the beach sounds good to me.

Tell me about your worst travel experience?

Going on a two-hour hike and finding out that it actually took more than half a day, with nothing in my stomach because I’m not a breakfast person.

Self-drive safari or luxury safari?

Self-drive. You have more control over your holiday time and therefore enjoy your trip more.

If you had an unlimited travel budget, where you would you go?

Thailand without a doubt. The food, the weather and it’s white-sand beaches all look heavenly.

If you want to go on your own adventure through Africa, you might want to have a look at 4×4 hire to find the best vehicle for your adventure.
