Meet sales consultant of the month: Trevor Everts

The January salesperson of the month has just been announced. Rental consultant Trevor Everts smiles that familiar broad smile because he is the one who roped in the sales last month.

This Drive South Africa team member has been working at Drive South Africa, for one and a half years and he specializes in 4×4 rentals.

Working only a few feet from the sales team, it’s easy to tell when Trevor is on leave. It will be much quieter… and duller.

“I love my job, but during the 4×4 season, I really love it. The people you are dealing with are planning lifelong holidays and it is always great to be a part of this”.

It is no secret that Trevor loves the outdoors with fishing being one of his passions.

“On Saturdays, depending on the weather, I will either be fishing or watching sport with friends on the telly.”

Trevor’s favorite spot in South Africa is the Breede river. “It is off the beaten track, away from civilization, and great for water skiing and of course, fishing.’

Trevor’s recipe for success?

“The recipe I believe is not only to work hard, but to work smart and have superior knowledge of your product.” To have staff and colleagues who believe in you and your company is what Trevor regards as essential to any successful company.

“The best car I have driven is a Landcruiser. It is very comfortable and will take you anywhere you want to go.”

To swim in the Dead Sea is at the top of Trevor’s bucket list. “It’s amazing, apparently you don’t sink in the water because it’s so salty.”

It’s clear that this born Capetonian loves the sea… “My favorite quote is definitely ‘And the sea will grant each man new hope’ by Christopher Columbus.”
