The 16th Annual Suidoosterfees- a Festival for Everyone

The annual Suidoosterfees is a celebration of Cape Culture, where cultural diversity and inclusivity are given a platform and a voice. Festival-goers can expect to be entertained by a diverse group of talented performers, ranging from music, historical tours, art exhibitions, and many more acts. The fest takes place from the 25th April- 1st May 2019, at the Arts Cape Theatre (1-10 D.F. Malan St, Foreshore, Cape Town), from 9 am to 12 am.

Kaap, Kerrie Koesisters & Seisoenkos

Fatima, Gadija, and Alleta will be sharing their journey through celebrating the Cape Malay cooking culture on the 26th of April from 12:00-13:00. Listening to Kaap, Kerrie Koesisters& Seisoenkos is absolutely free.

Giempiestraat II

A well-known street in Cape Town is reliving its memories, embracing heritage by bringing real-life situations and transforming it into musical stories. Tickets to the musical costs R100 per person and takes place on the 27th April 2019 at 17:00-18:15.

Still Heavy

KG takes his audiences on a unique comedy journey with a glimpse into the “behind the scenes” practices of a Sangoma and what it’s like having one that you call “dad”, a nurse for a mom, and why he was never able to take a day off sick from school. The show takes place on the 27th of April 2019 at 20:00-21:00 and cost R120 per person.

Beats of Bollywood

Beats of Bollywood is a unique dance collaboration featuring Bollywood dance troupe – Taare – alongside other performers from across the Mother City. From African to Spanish, Ballet to Kathak, Beats of Bollywood, showcases the diversity and splendor with which the modern Bollywood industry has become synonymous. The show takes place on the 27th April 2019 from 14:00-15:30 in the afternoon and costs R120 per person.

Face for Radio

A teacher turned Comedian, Dalin Oliver, is struggling to adapt to the concept of adulting. No one warned him about it. His Life Orientation teacher forgot to tell him that he’d have to pay tax, parallel park in on-coming traffic and that data would be this expensive. Friendships and relationships have changed. The show takes place on the 30th of April from 21:15 to 22:15 and cost R120 per person.
